The Tierra del Fuego Tourism Institute announced the launch of a new international and seasonal route by GOL Linhas Aéreas, which will directly connect São Paulo with Ushuaia starting July 7, 2026. The operation represents a significant step forward in positioning the province in the Brazilian market, one of the main sources of tourists to Tierra del Fuego.

The president of INFUETUR, Dante Querciali, celebrated the announcement and highlighted that the addition of this route is the result of work initiated during the province's participation in the WTM São Paulo trade fair in April 2025. He also noted that the support of the private sector was key to establishing this new connection, which will increase the number of Brazilian visitors interested in enjoying the Tierra del Fuego winter, its landscapes, and its range of snow-related activities.

The São Paulo–Ushuaia route will be operated with Boeing 737 aircraft with a capacity of 176 passengers in international configuration. It will run from July 7 to August 29, 2026, with three weekly flights—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—and tickets are now available for purchase. This operational schedule will ensure early bookings and strengthen the airline's sales projections for the winter season.

GOL, part of the Abra Group, has a track record of more than two decades and a standardized fleet of 143 Boeing 737 aircraft. With a team of 15,000 professionals and more than 30 million passengers transported annually, the company stands out for its focus on safety and democratizing access to aviation through smart solutions.

The addition of this direct route reinforces the growth of international tourism to the End of the World and consolidates Ushuaia as an attractive destination for the Brazilian market, especially for those seeking winter experiences in a unique natural environment.
