Barcelona is experiencing a period of hotel expansion marked by the arrival of international brands, the transformation of historic hotels, and the creation of exclusive residences in iconic buildings. The city is thus consolidating its position as a global destination for luxury and urban experiences, with offerings ranging from beachfront lifestyle complexes to sustainable accommodations, pop-up hotels in the city center, and high-end residences designed for extended stays.
SLS Barcelona. Located in Port Fòrum, this 5-star resort is the first SLS brand property in Europe. With 471 rooms and suites, private balconies, and a contemporary design, it offers six restaurants and bars, a pool overlooking the waterfront, and two rooftop infinity pools. It also features a spacious spa with a wellness center and beauty salon. The hotel also boasts a 700 m² ballroom and event spaces, with the ambition of becoming a benchmark for the city's glamorous and cosmopolitan lifestyle.
METT Barcelona (Gran Hotel La Florida). Perched high above the city, the Gran Hotel La Florida has been completely renovated for METT's debut in Barcelona. The hotel features 70 designer rooms and suites, including exclusive Design Suites with private pools and panoramic views of the Barcelona skyline. Its dining spaces have been reimagined with gastrobars and open terraces, while the spa and elevated pool club with jacuzzi offer relaxing experiences in a carefully preserved modernist setting.
45 Times Barcelona . Located in Plaça Catalunya, this superior 4-star hotel , managed by Palladium Group , reinforces the city's cosmopolitan spirit with 119 rooms across various categories. It will temporarily operate under the ephemeral 45 Times brand, offering personalized service and a rooftop pool and bar with stunning views, before transforming into a Bless Collection hotel focused on experiential luxury. Moxy Barcelona. Situated in the Sants district, this Marriott International lifestyle hotel offers 414 rooms with modular design and artistic murals depicting different neighborhoods of the city. Designed for a young and dynamic clientele, it features social spaces for events, a 24-hour gym, and a rooftop pool and chill-out area . Its culinary offerings are complemented by a rooftop restaurant and bar managed by Grup Confitería, making it a new urban meeting point.
Mercer Residences Palau Moxó. In Barcelona's only preserved Baroque palace, Mercer Hotels has created five luxury residences designed for extended stays and accommodating up to six people. These 260 m² duplexes combine history and modern design, preserving original 18th-century architectural elements. With a private gym, concierge services, and access to Mercer Barcelona's facilities, the project also includes exclusive spaces for high-end events in historic halls and an Italian courtyard of over 500 m².
