Air traffic in Latin America and the Caribbean continues to show exceptional performance in 2025. According to the latest analysis by ACI-LAC, passenger traffic grew 5.43% between January and September compared to the same period in 2024, exceeding the annual projection of 4.1%. This result confirms a year of sustained expansion and a scenario of full recovery for the sector.

The growth is explained by the strong performance of several strategic markets. Argentina leads the way with a 13.5% increase, followed by Brazil with 8.87%, Panama with 8%, and Peru with 7.1%. Countries such as Mexico, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Chile, and Colombia, which maintain a steady rate of increase in air travel demand, are also contributing to the regional growth.

International traffic is also showing strong performance, with 4.9% growth in the first nine months of the year. Meanwhile, air cargo has increased by 2.45%, reflecting a steady recovery in logistics and foreign trade.

According to recent IATA reports, Latin America and the Caribbean are positioned as one of the best-performing regions globally, thanks to increased routes, expanded frequencies, and the consolidation of hubs that strengthen connectivity. Demand remains strong in both the leisure and corporate segments, anticipating an even more positive end to the year.
