American Airlines today inaugurated its 30th destination in Mexico, Puerto Escondido International Airport (PXM), with connections to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). This new service will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays with Embraer E175 aircraft with a capacity of 76 passengers.
“We are proud to inaugurate the new service between Puerto Escondido and Dallas Fort Worth, further enhancing connectivity to and from Mexico through our largest hub in the United States,” said José María Giraldo, Director General of Operations for Mexico, the Caribbean, Canada, and Central America at American Airlines. “With the launch of our 30th destination in the country, we are further reinforcing our
more than 80-year commitment to Mexico.”

American Airlines' operations in Mexico:
American is the largest U.S. airline operating in Mexico, with an 83-year history in the country. In 2025, the airline expanded its local presence with the launch of new service to Tampico (TAM). With the addition of Puerto Escondido (PXM), American plans to operate more than 780 weekly flights to Mexico during the winter season.
