ANATO was once again selected as one of the three trade associations to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Tourism Fund (Fontur) for the 2025-2027 term, through a vote conducted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism scheduled for today. The other two associations elected were Cotelco (Colombian Hotel and Tourism Association) and Acolap (Colombian Association of Attractions and Amusement Parks).

“I thank my fellow associations for their vote of confidence and support in the election. Our commitment has always been to actively contribute to the management of Fontur and to continue strengthening public-private partnerships to build a competitive and sustainable tourism sector. This collaborative effort requires the participation of those who, in addition to contributing directly to the fund's resources, have firsthand knowledge of the dynamics, challenges, and opportunities of an industry that has experienced significant growth in recent years,” emphasized Paula Cortés Calle, Executive President of ANATO.

The selection was made in accordance with Decree 1198 of 2025, which establishes a new composition for the Steering Committee, reducing the number of representatives from trade associations from four to three, for a total of seven, including government members. “The participation of contributing trade associations on the Steering Committee has been fundamental to ensuring that fiscal and parafiscal resources are allocated to projects that benefit the country,” concluded the Association's president.
