This edition has had the largest number of local visitors, registering 87% Brazilian visitors.
The first edition of Perú Mucho Gusto Sao Paulo concluded with significant recognition from the Brazilian public towards Peruvian gastronomy, which continues to consolidate itself as one of the most celebrated and admired globally.
One of the main achievements of the event was the high participation of Brazilian visitors, who represented 87% of the attendees, a result that confirms the interest of the local market in Peruvian cuisine and the effectiveness of PROMPERÚ's international positioning strategy.
During the three days of the event, more than 11,000 people enjoyed a varied culinary offering presented by 23 Peruvian restaurants established in Brazil, along with renowned chefs, pisco brands, superfood producers and home decor items from Peru.
The menu included more than 50 dishes, among which the public's favorites stood out: ceviche, anticuchos, picarones, and chicha morada—flavors that represent the diversity and authenticity of Peruvian cuisine. More than 16,000 dishes and more than 5,000 desserts were sold.
One of the most popular areas with the public was the pisco bar, a space designed to showcase the history, origin, and Denomination of Origin of our national drink. Led by the renowned Jhonny Schuler, pisco's ambassador to the world, more than 2,000 pisco tastings were offered, along with presentations that shared information about its production, varieties, and heritage value, as well as showcasing some of the contemporary preparations that are now positioning it internationally as a premium Peruvian product.
“This edition represents a significant step forward in the internationalization process of Perú Mucho Gusto, strengthening the positioning of Peruvian cuisine in a priority market like Brazil. The high participation of the local public demonstrates the effectiveness of the segmentation strategy applied and confirms that gastronomy is a key instrument for increasing travel intentions to Peru, boosting inbound tourism, and contributing to the economic development of our regions,” highlighted María del Sol Velásquez, Director of Tourism Promotion at PROMPERÚ.
The event also featured presentations by chefs Flavio Solórzano and Roger Arakaki in the Showcooking area, where more than 1200 tastings of ceviche, lomo saltado and chancho al palo were offered.
Peru Mucho Gusto Sao Paulo reaffirms itself as a platform that positions Peru as a gastronomic, tourist and cultural destination, contributing to the promotion of flagship products and the strengthening of the country's image.
With its arrival in São Paulo, Perú Mucho Gusto, organized by Mincetur through PROMPERÚ, continues its internationalization process, which began in 2025 after its successful editions in Madrid and New York. The tour will continue to bring the flavors of Peru, steeped in history, to the world.
