With 20 tennis players participating (16 men and 4 women), the tournament concluded last Saturday, the 20th. In the men's draw, the format included four groups of four players, with the top players from each group advancing to the semifinals. Mariano Navone was crowned champion of the inaugural edition after defeating Román Andrés Burruchaga in the final. In the women's competition, Julia Riera took the title after defeating Jazmín Ortenzi.
The event established itself as a major spectacle for the public and, at the same time, as a space for social interaction, brand activation, and networking. It was supported by renowned brands such as IOL Inversiones, Medicus, and SAP. ESPN/Disney+ was the exclusive media partner, while the event was organized by WeGrow, a young and innovative agency comprised of a team of professionals with diverse backgrounds, combining fresh perspectives with over 20 years of experience on the ATP Tour.
On the other hand, the event presented a sustainable proposal, with a strong commitment to the future. Recycling and single-use plastic reduction initiatives were implemented, eco-friendly transportation (bicycles, carpooling, and electric vehicles) was promoted, biodegradable materials and sustainable merchandising were used, and water conservation was prioritized throughout the facilities. Furthermore, it participated in the "Let's Give Autism a Ball" initiative, promoted by the INECO Foundation, which aims to collect used tennis balls and place them on the legs of chairs and tables in schools, creating quieter and more welcoming environments for children with autism and neurodiversity.
In short, the event represented a unique opportunity for the public to see the best South American tennis players in action live and positioned itself as a pioneering proposal that reinforces Argentina's place in the world tennis calendar.
