FITUR4all, the FITUR section dedicated to accessible and inclusive tourism, organized in collaboration with IMPULSA IGUALDAD, is moving forward with preparations for its 2026 edition with the imminent closing of applications for the FITUR4all Awards and the final definition of its strategic panels.
The professional conference focused on the new Spain brand, “Think you know Spain? Think again,” to be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, comes after a particularly significant year for accessible tourism internationally. In September 2025, TUR4all Travel presented its Accessible Tourism Trends Report, which confirmed that accessible tourism has moved beyond being a niche market to become one of the fastest-growing and most influential segments of the global tourism sector, positioning Spain as an international leader both as a destination and a source market.
With over 1.3 billion people with disabilities worldwide and an increasingly aging population, accessible tourism is establishing itself as a strategic economic opportunity, as well as a social responsibility. In this context, FITUR4all positions itself as the leading forum for reflection, exchange, and action to promote a more inclusive, competitive, and socially sustainable tourism model.
The FITUR4all 2026 program will bring together public administrations, tourist destinations, companies in the sector and international organizations, and will address key issues such as:
Spain's positioning as an accessible destination in key international markets.
The role of destinations in building tourist experiences for all.
The transformation of the sector from the private sector.
Accessible tourism as a global driver of change in the tourism model.
One of the highlights of the day will be the presentation of the FITUR4all 2026 Awards, which recognize destinations, companies, and initiatives leading the way in accessibility and inclusion in tourism. The deadline for submitting nominations is in the coming days.
FITUR4all will also feature high-level panel discussions, micro-presentations from companies that are transforming the sector, and networking spaces, consolidating this meeting as an international benchmark in accessible tourism within the framework of FITUR.
“FITUR4all demonstrates that accessibility is no longer an accessory to tourism, but a key factor in quality, competitiveness, and innovation for the entire sector. Spain has the opportunity—and the responsibility—to lead this change globally, and this forum is a fundamental lever for making it a reality,” said Miguel Carrasco, Director of the Accessibility, Culture, and Inclusive Tourism Area at IMPULSA IGUALDAD.
