Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world's largest hotel franchising company with approximately 8,300 hotels in nearly 100 countries, has confirmed its participation in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2026, which will take place from January 21 to 25 in Madrid, Spain.

At the 46th edition of FITUR, considered the leading annual gathering of the global travel and tourism industry—bringing together more than 250,000 professionals from 156 countries—the company will have a busy schedule of meetings with business leaders, tour operators, and authorities from various destinations. The goal is to consolidate business growth in the European market and foster new commercial opportunities for its portfolio hotels in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe.

Europe has solidified its position as a strategic and expanding market for the Latin America and Caribbean region, especially for hotels in the Caribbean and Mexico, where demand remains strong for beach destinations and resorts. In this context, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts' participation in FITUR is a key platform for expanding business opportunities and strengthening the region's visibility in the European market.

The 2026 edition of FITUR will also hold special significance for the company, as Mexico will participate as the event's Partner Country, one of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts' strategic markets. Recently, the company reinforced its expansion plan in the country with the addition of 15 new properties, reaching a total of 100 hotels in operation and more than 15,800 rooms. With this milestone, Mexico becomes the sixth country with the most Wyndham Hotels & Resorts hotels globally and the largest market within the LATAM region.

“Our participation in FITUR is a key opportunity to strengthen our ties with strategic partners and continue driving new business opportunities for the growth of our region. We will reinforce our presence alongside owners, developers, operators, and business partners, leveraging Wyndham Advantage, a comprehensive distribution, marketing, and technology platform that includes over USD 375 million invested in innovation since 2018 and the support of more than 121 million Wyndham Rewards members globally.”

— Gustavo Viescas, President, Latin America and the Caribbean, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts

The Wyndham Hotels & Resorts delegation at FITUR will be headed by Gustavo Viescas and will also include Jimena Faena, Vice President of Marketing & Revenue Management for Latin America and the Caribbean; María Carolina Pinheiro, Vice President of Development for Latin America; and Andrés Bernal, Senior Director of Global & Field Sales for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Several hotels from the company's portfolio will also be present at FITUR, including properties from Grupo Costa del Sol (Peru), Wyndham Grand Cancún All Inclusive Resort & Villas, Viva Resorts by Wyndham, Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach and Golf Resort, Wyndham Palmas Beach & Golf Boutique Resort (Puerto Rico), Gran Hotel Europa Santo Domingo, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, and the Decameron Hotels & Resorts that are part of the Ramada by Wyndham and Trademark Collection by Wyndham portfolios, among others.

In this way, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts reaffirms its commitment to its franchisees and strategic partners, strengthening high-value relationships with key players in the global travel and tourism industry, and generating new opportunities for innovation, development and strategic networking.
