FITUR Talent, the section organized by the International Tourism Fair in collaboration with RRHHDigital and sponsored by Randstad, presents the program for its new edition, which will be held on Wednesday, January 21, within the framework of FITUR. The event, focused on talent, training, and people management as essential elements for the evolution of the sector, will take place under the theme “Talent that Transforms: Human Capital as the Key to the Future of Tourism.”

The section will host its program in the new Knowledge Pavilion, located in Hall 12 of IFEMA MADRID, which will showcase the latest innovations related to the tourism sector. FITUR Talent will thus be a professional meeting place where experts, companies, and students in the tourism field will share strategies for attracting and retaining young talent, advancing the digitalization of human resources, and strengthening continuing education. New initiatives related to well-being and mental health, inclusive and diverse leadership policies, and sustainable solutions to address absenteeism will also be presented.

A day that puts people at the heart of the tourism sector

The FITUR Talent program will begin at 11:00 AM with the official welcome, opening this professional day dedicated to talent as a transformative factor in the tourism sector, providing an overview and current context. Following this, the first panel discussion, entitled “Tourism Can’t Wait: Keys to Attracting and Retaining Talent,” will highlight the current challenges in attracting and retaining professionals. This session will analyze the new demands of the labor market, the role of new generations, and the digital skills required by today’s tourism industry.

During the keynote “Redefining tourism from the perspective of people: talent strategies for sustainable growth”, which will feature representatives from Randstad's management, professionals will reflect extensively on the crucial role of people in the development of tourism.

The round table “Transform or disappear: the importance of continuous training and the digitization of Human Resources” will bring together training departments, EdTech platforms, tourism companies and personnel managers to discuss the need for constant updating of skills and the impact of the digitization of human resources processes on the efficiency and competitiveness of the sector.

Meanwhile, the trilogue “Caring for People: Well-being and Mental Health in the Tourism Sector” will be a session dedicated to the care of human capital. In this segment, experts in human resources, psychology, unions, and corporate well-being will analyze strategies that promote mental health, prevent workplace stress, and foster healthy work environments in hotels, agencies, and tourism service companies.

Through “Inclusive and Diverse Tourism: Working Towards Equal Leadership,” inclusion and diversity will be addressed as key drivers for the sector's development. The various participating stakeholders will discuss the implementation of policies that guarantee equal opportunities and promote inclusive leadership at all levels of the industry.

Finally, the round table “Absenteeism in Tourism: Diagnosis, Causes, and Sustainable Solutions” will conclude the day, addressing one of the sector's main challenges in human resource management. Composed of human resources professionals, occupational risk prevention specialists, destination managers, and institutional representatives, this panel will explore the causes of absenteeism and the sustainable solutions that companies and public entities can implement.

The new edition of FITUR Talent, organized by FITUR in collaboration with RRHHDigital and held within the framework of the Fair, features for the first time Randstad as its main sponsor, reinforcing its commitment to talent as a strategic pillar of the tourism sector. The company will contribute its extensive experience in human resources management and labor market analysis to align employability needs with the new challenges of tourism and thus move towards a more professional, competitive, and sustainable model. Additional sponsors include Viajes El Corte Inglés, Sani-Ikos Group, Workday, and FETICO.
