The commercial aviation industry continues to show clear signs of recovery and expansion globally, a scenario directly reflected in the increase in deliveries and orders for new aircraft. In this context, Boeing recorded a total of 600 deliveries to airlines, leasing companies, and the U.S. government in 2025, representing a 72.5% increase compared to 2024, when 348 units were delivered.

The last month of the year was particularly significant, with 63 aircraft delivered in December, the highest monthly volume of all of 2025. Among the most in-demand models was the 737 MAX family, with 45 units delivered, solidifying its position as one of the cornerstones of the short- and medium-haul fleet worldwide. This was complemented by 14 deliveries of the 787 Dreamliner, a key model for long-haul operations and the renewal of more efficient fleets.

Meanwhile, Boeing closed the year with its fifth-best performance ever in terms of orders, reaching a total of 1,173. December alone saw 175 new orders, most notably the agreement with Alaska Airlines for 105 aircraft from the 737 MAX family, reflecting airlines' confidence in the recovery of air traffic and the need to expand and modernize their fleets.

This performance aligns with the outlook of international organizations in the sector. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) notes that global air traffic has already surpassed pre-pandemic levels in several markets, driven by the recovery in international travel demand and the sustained growth of tourism and business travel. Similarly, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) highlights that the increase in traffic and fleet renewal also reflect the pursuit of greater operational efficiency and the industry's commitments to emissions reduction.

Thus, the increase in aircraft deliveries and orders not only confirms the rebound of commercial aviation, but also anticipates a stage of sustained growth, in which manufacturers, airlines and destinations prepare to support an ever-expanding air demand.
