The most beautiful city in the world consolidates its international projection as a tourist, gastronomic and sustainable experiences destination with its participation in three strategic events that will take place in the city of Madrid, Spain: FITUR, Madrid Fusión and Coffee Fest Madrid, key spaces to strengthen the presence of the destination in the European market.

FITUR, one of the most important tourism events worldwide and the one that kicks off the international calendar of trade fairs in the sector, represents a fundamental platform for generating business, professional networking and identifying trends in tourism, travel, communication and marketing.

The fair will take place from January 21 to 25 at IFEMA Madrid, where Quito will be promoted as the gateway to Ecuador, consolidating a comprehensive and solid presence before the Spanish tourism trade specializing in Latin American tourism products.

Additionally, from January 26 to 28, Quito will participate in Madrid Fusión – Alimentos de España, the world's most important gastronomic congress, now in its 22nd edition. At this event, the city aims to position itself as an international gastronomic destination, promote its culinary offerings internationally, and support food and beverage establishments in both urban and rural areas by showcasing Quito's cuisine.

Furthermore, Quito's international agenda in Madrid is strengthened by its participation in Coffee Fest Madrid, which will take place from February 14 to 16, 2026. Quito Coffee will participate in this specialized fair with the aim of promoting coffee culture and responding to the goal of consolidating Quito as a priority and competitive tourist destination, aligned with the growing demand for authentic and sustainable experiences linked to single-origin coffee.

Participation in Coffee Fest will position Quito as a destination that integrates cultural heritage, nature, and unique coffee experiences, highlighting the richness of the Andean Chocó and the sustainable practices that strengthen the local economy.

With this strategic agenda in Madrid, the Municipality of Quito, led by Mayor Pabel Muñoz, reaffirms its commitment to international promotion, diversifying its tourism offerings and highlighting its cultural, gastronomic and natural identity, projecting itself as an authentic, sustainable and globally competitive destination.
