Could you tell our audience what Rategain is and what it does?
Rategain is a technology company headquartered in India. I'm based in Buenos Aires, and from there I represent all of Latin America along with my team.
Rategain focuses on providing technology to the travel industry to maximize and optimize online sales. We offer technological solutions for distribution, pricing intelligence, and digital marketing to various sectors: hotels, hotel chains, online travel agencies, car rental companies, airlines, and more.
What is the objective of participating in this event?
Visiting the event, meeting with partners, presenting our proposal to clients, meeting with suppliers, and continuing to strengthen business alliances, with the goal of further driving the growth of the industry.
What is your assessment of last year and what are your expectations for the new season?
Last year was very positive; we grew a lot within the region and are building a very large team.
I think that headquarters in India is beginning to understand the magnitude of the Latin American region, so we expect a very positive year.
Which sectors or markets are strategic for the company?
Due to its size, we can say that Colombia, within the region we manage that does not include Mexico, let's say within what is Latin America for us, would be Colombia, Argentina, Peru and Ecuador the main markets.
What challenges do tourism professionals face today?
I think the effective application of artificial intelligence is a challenge. It's everywhere, but you have to know how to use it and apply it in the best way.
Of course, it's also applied in our products. I think there are many challenges; the market and the world are changing, and we have to see how those changes are being implemented.
