Turkish Airlines, the airline that flies to more countries than any other, celebrated its sustained growth in Spain by presenting its first-ever stand at FITUR 2026, located in stand 4A11 of pavilion N04S. This participation symbolized the airline's firm commitment to the Spanish market and its objective of consolidating itself as a key bridge between Spain and the rest of the world.

During the event, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sevilla Congress and Tourism (CONTURSA) and the Public Company for the Management of Tourism and Sport in Andalusia. The agreements, prompted by the recent launch of the Seville-Istanbul route, established a framework for cooperation for Turkish Airlines' operations in the Andalusian capital and defined joint tourism promotion initiatives to position the region as a strategic destination within the airline's global network.

Sedat Orman, Vice President of Sales for Southern Europe at Turkish Airlines, stated: “We are very pleased to have a prominent presence at FITUR, reaffirming our commitment to the Spanish market and its strategic importance for Turkish Airlines. With the recent addition of Seville as a new destination and connections from six Spanish cities, we continue to generate new opportunities for tourism and business in the country. Through our hub in Istanbul, we continue to unite cultures, connect continents, and bring some of the world’s most fascinating destinations closer to the world . ”

Participation in FITUR 2026 and the signing of these agreements reinforced the airline's mission to contribute to the tourism, cultural, and economic development of the regions with which it collaborates. During the five days of the trade fair, the Turkish Airlines team maintained a busy schedule of meetings to forge strategic business alliances and strengthen ties with the tourism sector.

Currently, the airline operates 91 weekly flights from six Spanish cities—Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, Bilbao, and Seville—to its hub in Istanbul, offering access to 356 destinations worldwide. The addition of Seville as its sixth destination, scheduled for autumn 2025, underscored the airline's commitment to the Spanish market and strengthened tourism and cultural ties between the two countries.

Turkish Airlines' positioning is supported by the awards given by Skytrax 2025, including World's Best Business Class Onboard Catering , Best Business Class in Europe , Best Business Class in Southern Europe and Best Business Class Onboard Catering in Europe , which highlight the excellence of its service and its constant investment in state-of-the-art technology.
