Emerald Cruises & Tours announced the opening of bookings for its highly anticipated 2026/2027 season in Southeast Asia, which includes luxury river cruises on the legendary Mekong River and carefully curated land programs in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Japan.
The new program includes up to 17 itineraries, among them the recently added 11-day trip through the Mekong and Siem Reap, as well as the extended 26-day itinerary through Japan, Vietnam and Cambodia, which combines deep cultural experiences with the brand's characteristic comfort.
Mekong River Cruises: Intimate Luxury in the Heart of Southeast Asia
The Mekong River cruise takes place aboard the Emerald Harmony, an elegant, custom-designed vessel that offers an intimate experience for up to 84 guests. The high crew-to-passenger ratio allows for personalized service, while the spacious suites and cabins serve as private retreats, complemented by an Asian-inspired culinary experience featuring regional flavors. The itinerary also includes the option of sailing directly to downtown Ho Chi Minh City, a signature feature of the Emerald.
The company offers two Mekong River cruise options: a classic eight-day cruise and an extended ten-day experience, available during the so-called green season. This latter option allows for longer daytime sailing and a deeper exploration of Cambodia, combining vibrant landscapes with moments of tranquility on board.
Ken Muskat, president of Scenic Group USA/LATAM, stated: “Emerald Cruises & Tours’ Southeast Asia collection offers travelers a simple way to explore one of the world’s most captivating regions in style. With thoughtfully crafted itineraries and the intimate luxury of a ship, guests can experience the authentic beauty, culture, and spirit of Southeast Asia like never before.”
Cultural experiences and immersive proposals
All itineraries include meals and drinks during lunch and dinner on board, as well as a carefully curated selection of excursions and cultural activities. Highlights include an Apsara dance performance in Siem Reap, the opportunity to witness the sunrise at Angkor Wat, blessing ceremonies with monks at Buddhist temples in Cambodia, visits to Gieng Island with artisan workshops, and tours of local markets and UNESCO World Heritage sites.
For those looking to expand their experience, the Emerald DiscoverMORE program offers optional activities at an additional cost, such as cooking classes in Hoi An and silk craft workshops in Laos.
