In line with the sustained growth recorded in recent years, Carrasco International Airport broke its monthly passenger record in January 2026.
Throughout the month, 210,430 people passed through the airport terminal, thus exceeding the figure recorded in 2025. During that January, 206,544 travelers had passed through the airport, a measurement that also exceeded that of January 2024, of 201,304 passengers.
In this way, year-on-year growth has been consolidated, which responds to greater activity during the month due to the summer season and the growing regional and domestic connectivity with airports in the interior of the country.
“We are very pleased to start the year with this historic record; it is a very promising figure for 2026. The growth trend shows that the efforts of the entire ecosystem to enhance the country's connectivity are paying off,” said Federico Cabrera, Operations and Experience Manager at Aeropuertos Uruguay.
The summer season continues with a high level of connectivity in February, reaching 17 destinations in Spain, Panama, Paraguay, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, the United States, and within Uruguay. With 12 airlines operating there, Carrasco International Airport offers 167 weekly flights throughout the month.
