Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), a global leader in travel technology, today announced SabreMosaic™ Cache-powered Intelligent Shopping, a new AI-based solution that unifies traditional content (EDIFACT), NDC, LCC, and private agency content through a suite of agentic-compatible APIs and supported by a scalable predictive cache that delivers industry-leading response times. The solution is designed to help agencies serve travelers faster with accurate, bookable results while controlling operating costs and the risks associated with high-volume flight searches.
Unlike solutions that rely solely on live queries to airlines or static caches, Cache-powered Intelligent Shopping uses Sabre IQ™ predictive algorithms to determine when to query live and when to return validated results from the cache. This allows agencies to access accurate, bookable offers without increasing look-to-book ratios or exposing travelers to outdated fares. In measured implementations, agencies have seen reductions of up to 28% in look-to-book (L2B) queries, up to 95% accuracy compared to live queries, and response times of less than half a second—less than 500 milliseconds—for traditional airline content.
“As agencies grapple with a fragmented air content landscape and rising traffic costs, our goal is to deliver bookable offers at scale,” said Garry Wiseman, Chief Product & Technology Officer, Sabre. “Cache-powered Intelligent Shopping combines AI-driven smart decision-making with continuous offer validation, enabling agencies to reduce look-to-book time, protect themselves against airline penalties, and convert more buyers without manually adjusting rules or integrating multiple systems.”
These advancements enable critical improvements in search performance, operational efficiency, and developer productivity:
One solution for every airline content source: Cache-powered Intelligent Shopping provides developers with a single, consistent framework, eliminating the need to manage different logic, timeout rules, or retrieval processes depending on the source. By standardizing how results are structured and delivered, key workflows such as classification, sorting, and personalization are optimized. The result is faster development, lower maintenance costs, and a unified experience across airlines and content types, including the NDC offering.
Speed that drives conversion: Designed to maintain stable performance under pressure, the solution ensures robust response times even when airlines experience variability. Its advanced backup logic guarantees that agencies receive relevant and reliable offers during peak traffic periods, operational disruptions, or extended promotional periods, helping to protect conversions and prevent interruptions.
Greater efficiency and control for sellers: By reducing exceptions and minimizing discrepancies between displayed and final offers, the solution decreases missed bookings, manual rate checks, and re-search cycles. Agencies gain cleaner data, increased agent productivity, reduced call center workload, and a more predictable buying experience across markets and seasons.
Customer Results Using Cache-powered Intelligent Shopping As part of the pilot program, Wego has reported significant improvements in flight search speed by using Cache-powered Intelligent Shopping, along with increased efficiency and accuracy.
“We’ve been co-developing with Sabre for the past 24 months, anticipating a scenario of AI-driven flight searches where look-to-book ratios increase exponentially,” said Ross Veitch, CEO and Co-founder of Wego. “Sabre’s multi-source solution integrates GDS, NDC, and LCC content into a single data cube, delivering pre-generated offers with sub-second response times, cost-effectively, and at scale. It’s a key component in making Wego the AI-driven travel app of choice with discerning capabilities.”
Cache-powered Intelligent Shopping is part of SabreMosaic™ Travel Marketplace, Sabre's modular platform for multisource retailing, which integrates distribution, intelligence, and agentic-compatible APIs to help travel brands modernize the shopping experience and accelerate their growth.
