LATAM received the highest passenger recognition in the South American region

An international survey based on millions of verified reviews highlighted the comprehensive experience offered by the airline

LATAM Airlines Group was recognized at the 26th annual World Airline Awards, organized by Skytrax, following votes from more than 22 million travelers of 100 nationalities. The company received the award for best airline in South America for the sixth consecutive year and, in addition, earned the award for best staff service in the region for the fourth time.

The award, considered one of the most prestigious assessments in the aviation industry, is based on the world's largest passenger satisfaction survey. The results reflect passengers' perceptions of service quality, onboard experience, and the attention they received during their journey.

Among the aspects valued were the new Premium Business cabins, with suites equipped with sliding doors, fully flat seats, and 18-inch HD screens, as well as the modernization of the Premium Economy cabin, which incorporates more space, a blocked middle seat, and priority services at airports. Connectivity was also a key factor, with Wi-Fi available on board most of the single-aisle fleet in Chile and on all of that type of aircraft in Brazil.

The culinary offerings were among the highlights, especially through the “Flavors that Transport” program, developed in collaboration with chefs from Brazil and Peru. Also emphasized was the pre-boarding experience provided by the Signature Lounge in Santiago—the largest in South America—and the priority check-in service available in São Paulo.

Paulo Miranda, the company's Vice President of Customers, noted that passenger feedback confirms the evolution of the travel experience and recognizes the work of the team responsible for daily customer service and operations. Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax, stated that the awards reflect the airline's well-deserved reputation for its service and customer relations.

These awards add to another recognition obtained at the APEX Best Awards 2025, where the company was also highlighted in the regional category, reinforcing its position within South American air transport.
