LATAM was chosen as South America leading airline at the World Travel Awards 2025
The award, granted by a vote of users and industry professionals, highlighted innovation, onboard services and on-the-ground experience
LATAM Airlines Group was recognized as “South America’s Leading Airline 2025” at the 32nd edition of the World Travel Awards, considered among the most prestigious awards in international tourism. The selection was made based on votes cast by passengers and industry professionals through the competition's official platform.
The company received this distinction for the tenth consecutive year. Among the aspects valued by voters were the new Business Class suites, the incorporation of travel technologies, and the pre-flight experience offered at its airport facilities.
Additionally, the airline received the “South America’s Leading Airline Lounge 2025” award for its VIP lounge located at Santiago International Airport in Chile, considered the largest in the region and one of the best rated by passengers.
Among the highlights is the implementation of the Business Suites, which incorporate individual doors for greater privacy, full-flat seats, 18-inch HD screens and USB ports, with a design inspired by Brazilian and Andean landscapes.
In terms of connectivity, the airline offers Wi-Fi on board approximately 90% of its single-aisle fleet. It also provides the exclusive Signature Check-in service for Black Signature and Black customers at the airports of Santiago, Lima, and São Paulo. In São Paulo, the airline also maintains a strategic alliance with Audi for remote boarding at Congonhas and Guarulhos airports.
The World Travel Awards recognize excellence in various areas of the global tourism industry, including hotels, attractions, and air transport. Winners are selected through direct voting, based on the experience and knowledge of users and professionals.
These awards add to other distinctions obtained by the company in 2025, including the “Five-Star Global Airline” rating awarded by APEX, regional recognition at the Skytrax World Airline Awards and several awards at the Pax International Readership Awards, linked to the travel experience.
