The Sustainable Skies World Summit 2026 announced that it will include an official International Air Transport Association training session focused on Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) in its program. The training will take place alongside the conference program on March 17 and 18, 2026, at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre in Hampshire, UK.

Aimed at professionals working on the front lines of aeronautical sustainability, the course entitled “Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) – Building a Long-Term Sustainable Aviation Industry” will offer an in-depth, face-to-face learning experience over the two days of the event.

Upon completion of the training, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the strategic role of sustainable fuels (SAFs) in achieving the net-zero emissions target by 2050. They will also be able to assess the environmental and operational benefits of these fuels, analyze the key elements for their evaluation and procurement, understand the mechanisms driving their global adoption, and identify the main stakeholders within the global SAF ecosystem. The program will also address the challenges associated with their implementation.

The addition of this specific training reinforces the Summit's commitment not only to putting strategic issues such as alternative fuels, carbon removal and regulatory readiness on the agenda, but also to providing concrete professional development tools for airlines, regulatory bodies, fuel producers, investors and sustainability teams.

Professionals interested in participating in the IATA course can access a 15% discount using the promotional code IATASSWS15. Spaces are limited, and early registration is recommended. Meanwhile, the general program of the Sustainable Skies World Summit will be free for registered attendees.
