Arajet, the flag carrier of the Dominican Republic, continues to strengthen its presence in the Argentine market, registering a growth of more than 100% in passenger transport between Argentina and the Dominican Republic during 2025, reaffirming its commitment to air connectivity and the development of tourism in the region.

In 2025, Arajet transported 113,271 passengers between the two countries, representing an increase of over 100% compared to 2024, when it carried 56,075 passengers. This growth occurred within the context of the airline's overall expansion, which in 2025 achieved a record performance by transporting 1.48 million passengers, reflecting a 37% increase over the previous year.

This increase in air traffic also aligns with the sustained growth of Argentine tourism to the Dominican Republic, which increased by 62% in 2025, driven by greater flight availability and new connection options.

Arajet's Chief Communications Officer, Manuel Luna, highlighted the importance of the Argentine market within the airline's growth strategy. “Argentina has become a key market for Arajet. This growth reflects passenger confidence and the positive impact our operation is having on connectivity between both countries, as well as on strengthening tourism to the Dominican Republic,” said Pacheco Méndez.

As part of this expansion, in 2025 Arajet offered the Argentine market 186,480 seats on direct flights, 79% more than in 2024, achieving an annual average occupancy rate of 76%, demonstrating the high demand on the route. The service to Punta Cana (PUJ) began the year with a daily flight from Buenos Aires–Ezeiza (EZE) and ended it with 13 weekly flights, adding 4 weekly flights from Córdoba (COR). In December, the airline resumed the EZE–Santo Domingo (SDQ) route, expanding connectivity options for Argentine passengers.

In addition, Arajet announced that by 2026, as part of its expansion in the Argentine market, it will inaugurate new routes from Mendoza (MDZ) and Rosario (ROS) to Punta Cana, both with three weekly frequencies, starting operations in May and June respectively.

With these actions, Arajet reaffirms its vision to continue positioning the Dominican Republic as the new Air Hub of the American continent, expanding connectivity between Argentina, the Caribbean and the rest of America, and offering passengers more safe, modern and accessible travel alternatives.
