Hilton announced the opening of Motto by Hilton Recife Antigo, the brand's first property in Brazil and the company's debut in the city of Recife. The project, developed in partnership with REVPAR Incorporações, MUV Empreendimentos, and Atlantica Hospitality International, adds 132 rooms to one of the most iconic historic neighborhoods in northeastern Brazil.

The arrival of Motto by Hilton is part of the chain's expansion strategy in Latin America and aims to offer a lodging model geared towards travelers interested in immersing themselves in the destination's identity. According to Maxime Verstraete, Hilton's vice president of brand management for the Caribbean and Latin America, the property is inspired by the city's urban energy and offers a stay based on local experiences and social spaces.

The architecture and interior design draw inspiration from the state of Pernambuco. The ground floor uses earth tones and rustic elements that evoke the semi-arid interior, while the terrace is inspired by the vastness of the ocean. The hallways incorporate illustrations based on chapbooks and handcrafted rugs that connect the hotel to the local community.

The rooms feature multifunctional furniture, bunk beds, and sofa beds, designed to accommodate different types of guests. The property includes 42 connecting rooms and utilizes Hilton Confirmed Connecting Room technology, which allows up to four units to be linked simultaneously to accommodate groups or families.

The culinary offerings aim to integrate seamlessly into the Recife Antigo neighborhood, welcoming both guests and residents. The rooftop restaurant serves breakfast with views of the river or the sea, while the ground-floor café acts as a meeting point for the surrounding urban community.

Located two blocks from Marco Zero—the city's historic center—the hotel offers easy access to colonial architecture, Afro-Brazilian culture, and Boa Viagem beach. With this opening, Hilton now has more than 25 operating hotels in Brazil and plans to open approximately 30 more, as part of a regional portfolio that already exceeds 300 properties in the Caribbean and Latin America, with more than 160 under development.
