The 45th edition of Vitrina Turística de ANATO opens today in Bogotá with forecasts that anticipate a standout performance for the travel industry. The event, organized by ANATO, will take place from February 25 to 27 and will once again bring together key players from across the region.
According to estimates from the association, the professional gathering is expected to generate around 234,000 commercial contacts and close to USD 135 million in business, representing an approximate 6.5% increase compared to the previous year. These figures reinforce the fair’s role as the main business platform for the tourism industry in Colombia.
The movement is also expected to have a tangible impact on the local economy. More than 11,000 domestic and international visitors are anticipated to arrive in the capital during the week of the event, with an estimated average expenditure of $1,753,000 per person and an average stay of five nights. This would translate into an approximate 10% increase in spending compared with the 2025 edition.
In terms of employment, the organization projects about 6,600 direct jobs, 18% more than last year. The expansion of exhibition space and overall growth of the event are driving demand for logistics, technology, commercial, setup, transportation, and security services, among others.
Focus on innovation and professional development
In parallel, the third edition of ANATO Capacita Versión Tech will be held — an academic space aimed at strengthening digital and strategic skills among tourism professionals. For 2026, more than 2,000 participants are projected, marking a 14% increase compared to 2025.
The agenda will feature talks by specialists from Universidad Externado de Colombia, Universidad de la Sabana, Incocrédito, and Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), among others, covering topics such as artificial intelligence, digital marketing, global trends, legality, and safety.
With these projections, the 45th edition of Vitrina Turística de ANATO reaffirms its relevance as a catalyst for opportunities, competitiveness, and growth throughout the tourism value chain.
