Within the framework of the 41st edition of the Tourism Showcase of the Colombian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (ANATO), which will take place in Bogotá this February 25, 26 and 27, Avianca and the Córdoba Tourism Agency signed an agreement for the tourism promotion of Córdoba, Argentina.
The objective is to strengthen the destination's international positioning and boost traveler demand in strategic markets, through the development of joint promotional actions that will make the destination's tourism offerings visible and highlight its differentiating attributes.
“We are very pleased to formalize this cooperation agreement today for the promotion of Córdoba. Since we launched our direct route to Bogotá last June, we have seen significant interest in flying to and from Córdoba, and in 2025 alone we transported more than 25,000 passengers on this route. This new step continues to combine efforts to ensure the success of this connection and contribute to promoting Córdoba as a unique destination,” said David Alemán, Avianca's Sales Director for South America and Colombia.
“Air connectivity is an essential condition for growth in the international market. Today, Córdoba has a direct link with Bogotá that allows us not only to attract Colombian tourists, but also to integrate into a network of strategic connections for the entire region,” said Darío Capitani, president of the Córdoba Tourism Agency.
This collaboration aims to create synergies that will enhance Córdoba's visibility and boost its tourism sector, in line with Avianca's commitment to supporting the development of the destinations where it operates. As part of this strategy, priority will be given to Colombia, the United States, and Spain—markets with high potential to stimulate tourism to Córdoba, supported by strategic connectivity and the growing interest of travelers in unique offerings.
