Aerolíneas Argentinas ended 2025 with an operating surplus of US$112.7 million and zero transfers from the State

For the first time since the company was renationalized in 2008, Aerolíneas Argentinas ended the year 2025 without receiving a single peso from the National Government and with an operating surplus of 112.7 million dollars, almost double the 56.6 million dollars obtained in the 2024 fiscal year

With total revenue exceeding $2.22 billion, 2025 was positioned as the second consecutive year of surplus, an unprecedented achievement in the company's recent history.

From an operational standpoint, the company flew the same number of hours as in 2024, with an occupancy rate of 83% on an average of 300 daily flights, carrying 35,016 passengers per day. The total number of passengers transported during 2025 reached 12,781,016. The reliability of the operation resulted in a compliance rate of 99.4%, which translated into a positive value for service quality and reliability from customers, reflecting a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 55 points.

In parallel, Aerolíneas reduced its bank and financial debt by 41%, from $341.9 million to $207.4 million between December 2023 and the same month of 2025 – as part of a sustainable policy to clean up its accounts. Thanks to these and other cost-cutting measures, the company announced the incorporation of 18 new aircraft to strengthen and modernize its fleet, in a path aimed at boosting the efficiency and profitability of its operations. This process, for which offers are already being sought, foresees the incorporation of four Airbus A330neo, eight Boeing 737 MAX 10, four Boeing 737 MAX 9 and two Boeing 737 MAX 8.

Fabián Lombardo, president and CEO of Aerolíneas Argentinas, stated that “this result reinforces the direction we have taken over the last two years, in which we have focused on cost reduction and maximizing profitability. Aerolíneas Argentinas has demonstrated that it can compete on equal terms with other companies in the industry, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to operational safety and the quality of its service.”

The 2025 financial results are currently undergoing validation by the consulting firm KPMG, which has already certified the accounting statements for the 2024 fiscal year. This process will culminate in the approval of the 2025 balance sheet by the company's Board of Directors by the middle of this year. It is worth remembering that between 2008 and 2023, Aerolíneas Argentinas recorded an average operating loss of US$400 million annually in EBIT. Since its renationalization, the company has demanded more than R$8 billion in direct transfers from the State.
