KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has announced its schedule for the 2026 Northern Hemisphere summer season, which will run from March 29 to October 25. During this period, the airline will operate to a total of 161 destinations worldwide, including 96 in Europe and 68 intercontinental destinations, expanding options for both leisure and business travel.
The airline projects an approximate 5% increase in the total number of seats compared to the previous year. This growth is due to a 6% increase in European destinations and a 4% increase in intercontinental routes.
New European destinations
For this season, KLM will add three new destinations in Europe: Saint Helier, in Jersey (Channel Islands), as well as Santiago de Compostela and Oviedo in Spain, thus expanding its European network with new connectivity options to cultural and tourist destinations of growing interest.
These additions strengthen the company's European network and expand connectivity to cultural and tourist destinations with growing demand.
Likewise, within Europe, frequencies will be increased to destinations showing an upward trend, such as Cagliari, which will have daily service throughout the summer, and Istanbul, Dubrovnik, Ljubljana and Cork, where more flights will be added.
Reinforcement on intercontinental routes
In the long-haul segment, KLM will also expand its operations. Additional flights to Cape Town will be added at the start of the season, and a daily service to Portland will be offered throughout the summer.
In addition, San Diego, Miami, and Hyderabad will be available for the first time throughout the entire summer season. San Jose will also be added as a destination operated specifically for the summer.
With this expansion, KLM reinforces its position as one of the main connectors between Europe and the rest of the world, consolidating its global network with greater capacity and new alternatives for travelers in the 2026 high season.
