LATAM Airlines announced the strengthening of its new direct route between Amsterdam (AMS) and São Paulo (GRU), scheduled to launch on March 30, 2026. With this operation, the airline officially enters the Dutch market and expands its strategic presence in Northern Europe.
Initially scheduled for four weekly flights, the route will increase its service to six weekly flights starting April 18, even before its launch. This decision reflects the positive market response and the strategic importance of this connection within the group's global network.
Thibaud Morand, LATAM Airlines' General Manager for Europe, Asia, and Oceania, stated that the increased flight frequencies reflect the company's commitment to strengthening connectivity between the two regions and adapting to the growing demand for travel. He also highlighted the importance of São Paulo as a key hub that allows for seamless connections to multiple destinations in Brazil and the rest of South America.
With the expansion, flights from Amsterdam will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, departing at 1:10 PM and arriving in São Paulo at 8:20 PM the same day. The schedule is designed to facilitate efficient connections to more than 50 destinations within Brazil and to major South American capitals, consolidating Guarulhos' role as one of the most important connecting hubs in the region.
São Paulo, considered one of Latin America's main economic engines, combines its corporate prominence with a vibrant cultural, artistic, and culinary scene. The city also serves as a gateway to exploring the continent's natural and cultural diversity through the LATAM network.
The route will be operated with Boeing 787-9 aircraft, configured with 30 seats in Business Class and 270 in Economy Class, offering a modern travel experience, on-board dining and a state-of-the-art entertainment system.
With this expansion, LATAM Airlines consolidates its growth in Europe and strengthens the air bridge between both continents, expanding the alternatives for both the corporate traveler and the vacation segment.
