In line with its objective of training stakeholders across the tourism value chain, ANATO organizes two major academic events exclusively for industry professionals.
The first is the National Congress of Travel and Tourism Agencies, which will celebrate its 30th edition in 2026 and will be held in Barranquilla in August. This major event brings together more than 1,000 businesspeople and aims to train stakeholders across the tourism value chain, including travel agencies, hotels, airlines, and tour operators. The second
event, the 7th ANATO National Inbound Tourism Meeting, will be held in October in Boyacá. This meeting seeks to strengthen collaboration between Destination Management Companies (DMCs), regional tour operators, and tourism service providers. It concludes with a business matchmaking session between local operators and DMCs, fostering stronger connections among industry stakeholders and boosting tourism in the region.
“Events like these not only strengthen the knowledge and competitiveness of the sector's value chain, but also generate a positive impact on local economies. At ANATO, we reaffirm our commitment to the development of tourism in Colombia, promoting training, networking, and outreach opportunities that contribute to the sustainable growth of the industry and the positioning of national destinations in international markets,” said Paula Cortés Calle, Executive President of ANATO.
