Avianca becomes an official sponsor of Miami FC and consolidates its presence in Florida

The airline strengthens its ties with sports and expands its presence in the southern United States through a strategic alliance with the soccer club

Avianca announced its official sponsorship of Miami FC, reinforcing its presence in Miami and South Florida, as well as its commitment to sports and the communities it connects. The partnership is part of the airline's strategy to strengthen its position in key markets where it maintains a strong flight presence.

As part of the agreement, the Avianca logo will be featured on the team's official jersey throughout the season, supporting Miami FC in its competitions and reinforcing the brand's visibility in one of the most dynamic and multicultural cities in the United States.

“We are proud to announce our partnership with Miami FC at such a significant time for the club, marked by the unveiling and groundbreaking of its new stadium,” said Rolando Damas, Avianca’s Sales Director for North America and Europe. “Miami is a strategic market for Avianca and a key gateway connecting the United States with Latin America. In 2025 alone, we will transport more than 4.9 million passengers to and from the United States. Through this partnership, we strengthen our presence in the city and reaffirm our commitment to sports and the communities we connect.”

The alliance also includes the incorporation of the Avianca brand into Miami FC's popular Fútbol305© Zone, a space that offers fans close access to the players and special experiences during matches. Starting this season, the area will be renamed the “Avianca Fútbol305© Zone.”

This sponsorship adds to Avianca's strong presence in the United States, where the airline currently operates more than 400 weekly flights from 14 cities, including Miami, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, New York, Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington, Las Vegas —with seasonal operation—, Tampa and Ontario.

From Florida, the company connects thousands of passengers weekly to destinations in Colombia, Ecuador and Central America, in addition to offering access to more than 80 destinations in more than 25 countries in America and Europe.

In 2025, Avianca transported more than 4.9 million passengers to and from the United States, representing a growth of more than 6% compared to 2024, in addition to operating more than 34,200 flights in the country.

Through this initiative, the airline continues to expand its involvement in sports projects in the region, recognizing soccer as a strategic platform to connect with millions of fans and strengthen cultural ties between the United States and Latin America.
