Argentina, a key player in tourism growth in Santa Catarina
This phenomenon occurs in a context of strong growth in Argentine tourism to Brazil, especially to the state of Santa Catarina.
According to data from Embratur (Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion), Santa Catarina began 2026 with a significant flow of foreign visitors: during January, 205,115 international tourists arrived, 3.1% more than in the same month of 2025.
Within those numbers, Argentina remained the main country of origin of tourists to Santa Catarina, with 150,042 Argentine visitors in January 2026.
Geographical proximity, connectivity, and the price-quality ratio explain why more and more Argentinians are choosing southern Brazil for getaways and vacations.
A complete entertainment ecosystem.
Classic beach destinations are strengthened when they incorporate theme parks and indoor experiences that expand the range of activities beyond the weather. Along these lines, Balneário Camboriú also boasts the Oceanic Aquarium, with more than 170 species and immersive tours; the Jurassic Adventure Park, with more than 100 life-size dinosaur replicas; the Classic Car Show, with a collection of classic cars and exhibition spaces; and Pirate Adventure with its 3D cinema.
Balneário Camboriú thus reaffirms its position as one of the most dynamic tourist centers in southern Brazil, bringing experiences that previously seemed exclusive to other continents.
