To celebrate, United surprised passengers with quesitos, a traditional Puerto Rican pastry, as a small token of appreciation for their continued support.
United first flew to Puerto Rico in March 1991, with service between Washington Dulles and San Juan. Today, it operates daily service to Newark, Washington Dulles, Chicago O’Hare, Houston, and Denver from San Juan, and daily service betweenNewark and Aguadilla.
“We are proud to continue building on this story and to reaffirm our growth and long-term commitment to Puerto Rico. We remain focused on expanding options for our customers and deepening our connection with the island,” said Rolf Meyer, Director of Sales for Mexico and the Caribbean at United Airlines.
