Accor will host the SAHIC Latin America & The Caribbean – Hotel and Tourism Investment Forum for the second consecutive year, one of the most important events for investment in the hotel and tourism sector in the region. The 20th edition of the event will take place on March 23 and 24 at the Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana and will bring together industry leaders to discuss the future of the industry in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The forum has established itself as a strategic space for networking, business, and the generation of specialized content, connecting investors, developers, hotel operators, and industry experts. During the event, trends, expansion models, and investment opportunities in the region's main tourism markets will be discussed.
By hosting this event again, Accor reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the hospitality ecosystem and to the sustainable development of tourism in Latin America and the Caribbean.
“SAHIC is an essential space for building the future of the hotel industry in Latin America and the Caribbean, bringing together different visions around growth, innovation, and responsible investment. Hosting the event for the second consecutive year reinforces Brazil’s relevance in this context and Accor’s role as a long-term strategic partner for investors and developers in the region,” stated Abel Castro, Chief Development Officer of Accor Americas.
Castro will participate in the panel entitled “Building in the Americas project by project: the view of a development leader”, along with Arturo Garcia Rosa, president and founder of SAHIC, which will take place on March 23.
For his part, Arturo Garcia Rosa highlighted the current moment in the region and the forum's role in promoting dialogue and investment in the sector. “Latin America and the Caribbean are moving beyond being merely emerging markets to consolidate themselves as strategic investment platforms in hospitality. This demands constant dialogue between governments, investors, and operators, as well as a long-term vision. Tourism and real estate development linked to this activity are already significant drivers of economic growth and value creation in the region,” he noted.
The event will also feature the participation of other Accor executives, including Lara Teixeira, SVP Design & Technical Services Accor Americas PM&E; Marcelo Salomão, SVP Technology Accor Americas PM&E; Luís Mirabelli, VP Development Accor Latin America & Caribbean PM&E; Claudia Piña, Development Manager Accor Colombia, Ecuador & Peru PM&E; Veronica Franco, Development Manager Accor Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay & Bolivia PM&E; and Guilherme Cesari, Head of Development Accor Americas L&L.
