Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the signing of a management agreement between one of its subsidiaries and Codelpa, the current owner of Secrets Tides Punta Cana, to develop a new all-inclusive family resort: Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana. The property, slated to open in 2029, will become one of the brand's flagship resorts in the Caribbean.

The new resort will feature 650 newly constructed rooms, including an exclusive adults-only building, as well as a wide variety of amenities designed for guests of all ages. The resort will be located approximately 40 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport.

“We are thrilled to expand our portfolio with Hyatt with the plans for Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana,” said Álvaro Peña. “Following the successful debut of Secrets Tides Punta Cana, we look forward to further expanding the Hyatt Ziva brand in Punta Cana, complementing Hyatt’s growing brand presence in the region and offering a family-friendly experience on the destination’s white-sand beaches.”

For his part, Javier Águila highlighted the strategic importance of the destination for the company. “We are delighted by the trust placed in us by a valuable owner like Codelpa and by the opportunity to further strengthen our already robust portfolio in the Dominican Republic. Hyatt currently has 34 hotels—32 of them all-inclusive resorts—and nearly 17,000 rooms in the country, reflecting our long-term commitment to a destination central to our Caribbean strategy.”

Antonio Fungairino also noted that Punta Cana remains a key destination for the brand's growth. “Punta Cana continues to be a thriving destination for guests and members seeking family resort experiences. We are committed to expanding our presence in this region and strengthening our relationship with Codelpa.”

Experiences for all ages

The future Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana will feature a diverse culinary offering, including five specialty restaurants and an international buffet, as well as a snack bar, coffee shop, ice cream parlor, and a beach club with food and beverage service. The resort will also have six bars serving domestic and international liquors and a juice bar within the spa.

In the wellness area, the complex will feature a gym, yoga studio, and outdoor fitness area, as well as a spa equipped with a sauna, steam rooms, hammam, hydrotherapy circuit, and relaxation areas. It will also offer specialized treatments, a beauty salon, and a bridal suite for weddings.

The resort will feature a wide range of amenities for guests of all ages, including a water park and five different swimming pools, one exclusively for adults and another dedicated to children. Recreational activities will include pickleball and tennis courts, a beach club, a Kid's Club and a Teen's Club with supervised activities, as well as family-friendly options such as mini-golf, bonfires, climbing walls, ropes courses, and bowling.

The arrival of Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana will strengthen the Inclusive Collection portfolio in the destination, along with the planned openings of Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana and Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana scheduled for 2026.

With these additions, Hyatt continues to consolidate its leadership in the all-inclusive segment, with more than 150 resorts and more than 55,000 rooms distributed across Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe.
