Civitatis, a leading technology platform for booking tours and activities, analyzed booking trends for the upcoming Easter 2026 following the outbreak of conflict in the Middle East, identifying a remarkable dynamism in tourism markets.

“Despite logistical adjustments on certain international routes, the desire to travel remains intact, translating into solid growth in European and American destinations,” said Nicolás Posse, Country Manager of Civitatis Argentina and responsible for Business Development for Chile, Paraguay, Colombia and Uruguay.

The company's data shows that travelers are prioritizing the safety and cultural richness of established destinations. While markets like Japan and Southeast Asia continue to attract bookings, the geographic areas with the greatest growth in the last week are primarily in Europe and the Americas.

In Europe, cities like Rome, Athens, Budapest and Krakow are leading the growth in demand for activities and excursions.

Within Spain, Andalusian cities are experiencing a strong resurgence, with Seville, Granada, and Cordoba leading the way. These destinations are joined by major tourist capitals such as Madrid and Barcelona, as well as the Balearic Islands.

In Latin America, the continent is consolidating its position as one of the main tourist destinations for Argentine travelers. Destinations like Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires stand out as drivers of regional growth, with increases of 69.3% and 47.4%, respectively. Other markets such as Mexico, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic are also registering above-average growth.

In North America, leisure destinations such as Orlando and Las Vegas are experiencing growth of over 50% in the demand for activities.

The company explained that they are constantly monitoring the international situation to ensure the best possible experience for travelers. “Civitatis is constantly monitoring the global situation to guarantee the best customer experience. Regarding destinations currently experiencing logistical disruptions in the Middle East, our absolute priority is traveler peace of mind and supporting our local partners. We are working closely with tour operators in the affected areas to offer flexible alternatives,” stated Enrique Espinel, COO of Civitatis.

The executive added that specific protocols have been activated to assist agencies and travelers whose itineraries may have been affected by the situation. “For those agencies and travelers whose plans have been disrupted, we have activated direct support protocols that include the efficient processing of refunds or date changes for all reservations in the affected areas.”

This shift in demand towards the Atlantic coast demonstrates the tourism sector's ability to adapt to changing global scenarios. In this context, Civitatis reaffirms its commitment to a selection of activities based on trust and quality, guaranteeing satisfying experiences for travelers regardless of the international situation.
