Airline ticket sales to Colombia maintained a positive trend throughout 2025, solidifying the country's position as an international tourist destination. During the year, 1,077,935 tickets were sold for travel to Colombia.
The figure confirms a sustained evolution since 2023, when 895,655 tickets were recorded, reflecting the growing interest of international travelers in visiting the country and the strengthening of inbound tourism in the region.
Among the source markets with the highest volume of ticket purchases to Colombia, the United States stands out, accounting for 37.8% of the total. It is followed by Mexico with 11.3%, Spain with 7.4%, Brazil with 6.3%, and Ecuador with 5.7%, highlighting the importance of these markets for the flow of international visitors to the country.
According to Paula Cortés Calle, some Colombian cities registered significant variations in the receipt of these tickets during the analyzed period.
“San Andrés was the fastest-growing destination, with a 25.6% increase and nearly 39,000 tickets sold. Medellín also showed strong performance, with a 12.4% increase and approximately 225,000 tickets sold. Meanwhile, Cartagena registered a 6.2% growth, maintaining its position as one of the most sought-after destinations for international travelers,” stated the CEO of ANATO.
In contrast, Bogotá saw a slight decrease of 0.7%, with approximately 401,000 tickets sold. Despite this variation, the capital remains the country's main air gateway and a key hub for Colombia's international connectivity.
Likewise, the last quarter of 2025 was the period with the highest volume of ticket sales, reaching 328,406 tickets sold, which represented a growth of 5.4% compared to the same period in 2024. These results reinforce the trend of recovery and expansion of international tourism to the country.
