Copa Airlines resumes flights between Panama and Caracas and restores connectivity with Venezuela

Copa Airlines announced the resumption of its flights to and from Caracas, Venezuela, starting January 13, 2026, following improvements in the operating conditions of the airspace at Maiquetía International Airport.

The resumption of the Panama-Caracas route represents a key step in the recovery of the country's air connectivity, restoring the link with the Hub of the Americas in Panama City, one of the main connection centers in the region.

Gradual restoration of operations

Initially, the airline resumed operations with a daily flight starting January 13. Subsequently, from January 16, a second flight was added, operating three to four times a week until February 19. From February 20, this second flight became a daily service, thus consolidating a more robust offering on the route.

The established schedule includes a daily operation departing from Panama at 9:03 am and arriving in Caracas at 12:22 pm, while the return flight takes off from Caracas at 1:32 pm and lands in Panama at 3:01 pm

As for the second service, this includes a departure from Panama at 11:36 am arriving in Caracas at 3:01 pm, and a return flight from Caracas at 4:11 pm arriving in Panama at 5:40 pm

Recovery of air connectivity

The resumption of operations comes after a suspension period resulting from operational conditions in Venezuelan airspace, which had affected the regularity of international flights to the country.

In this context, the return of Copa Airlines is part of a process of reactivation of the Venezuelan air market, relevant both for tourism and for corporate travel and commercial exchange.
