The Los Sueños Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort is advancing in the implementation of its sustainability strategy through the Serve 360 program, a corporate initiative aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, which structures its actions around responsible management, social commitment and environmental protection.
Among the main initiatives are the volunteer programs, through which employees actively participate in community projects, as well as partnerships with organizations such as the Costa Rican Food Bank, which has benefited more than 33,000 people through donations and solidarity actions.
In the environmental sphere, the hotel has implemented concrete measures to eliminate single-use plastics, promote recycling, and adopt circular economy practices. These actions include replacing plastic packaging with reusable materials, installing filtered water stations, and reusing waste collected during beach cleanups.

The resort also develops reforestation and conservation programs in conjunction with local organizations, contributing to the protection of biodiversity and the maintenance of key ecosystems. In parallel, artificial intelligence technologies are being incorporated into operations to reduce food waste, optimize internal processes, and lessen environmental impact.
The strategy also includes initiatives focused on social development, such as job training programs, support for local entrepreneurs, and actions promoting inclusion and diversity within the organization.
Taken together, these actions reflect a comprehensive approach that seeks to generate value for both the natural environment and the communities, consolidating the hotel's commitment to a sustainable development model in the tourism industry.
