Through this alliance, both parties will work together to strengthen the sector's capabilities, promoting training and awareness-raising processes in accessibility, as well as developing programs and tools that contribute to improving the quality of tourism offerings. This effort also includes the exchange of experiences and best practices at the regional level, along with actions aimed at positioning the region as an accessible multi-destination.
The Letter of Understanding establishes a framework for action to advance the incorporation of accessibility criteria in tourism, generating conditions that allow for broader access to experiences for more visitors.
“This collaboration allows us to move forward in incorporating accessibility criteria into the regional tourism offer, generating opportunities for a greater number of visitors,” said Iraheta, Secretary General of CATA.
For his part, Puentes highlighted the importance of promoting concrete actions that contribute to reducing barriers and strengthening more inclusive tourist destinations.
As part of its strategic approach, CATA continues to promote initiatives that integrate accessibility as a key axis for tourism development, contributing to a more competitive, inclusive offer aligned with global trends in the sector.
