LATAM Airlines Group resumes the direct Santiago - Quito route with 4 weekly flights

Starting in October 2026, LATAM Airlines Group will resume its direct flights between Santiago, Chile and the city of Quito in Ecuador.

With this operation, LATAM makes available to passengers 4 weekly flights (35,000 seats annually) which will allow travelers to enjoy greater comfort and ease of connecting between these destinations and others around the world.

Direct flights will allow passengers to significantly reduce their travel time, with estimated savings of between 1.5 and 3 hours compared to connecting flights. The route will be operated with A320neo aircraft, which reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions by around 20% compared to previous models, according to the manufacturer.

This direct route between Santiago and Quito allows us to expand and improve the options for our passengers and strengthen markets with high growth potential,” commented Kamal Hadad, Commercial Director of LATAM Airlines Group.

Through LATAM's hub in Santiago, passengers arriving from Quito will be able to connect to more than 50 domestic and international destinations, especially in South America and Oceania, significantly expanding their global travel options. This connectivity will also allow travelers from Chile to access iconic destinations like the Galápagos Islands, the renowned Ecuadorian archipelago that receives thousands of visitors each year drawn by its extraordinary biodiversity and natural beauty, more quickly and efficiently.

With the resumption of the Quito–Santiago route, LATAM Airlines Group strengthens its global connectivity network, promoting greater integration between Ecuador and the main markets of the region and the world, and facilitating new travel opportunities for both tourism and business.
