SKY Airline and Turkish Airlines —a member of Star Alliance and the airline that flies to the most countries in the world—, announced the signing of an interline agreement that will significantly expand connectivity options for passengers of both airlines between South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

The agreement will allow Turkish Airlines to market combined itineraries that include segments operated by SKY Airline, enabling passengers arriving from Istanbul and from Turkish Airlines' extensive international network to connect seamlessly to destinations in Chile and Peru.

One of the main advantages of this agreement is the single check-in for combined itineraries, which will allow passengers to receive all their boarding passes from the start of the trip, considerably simplifying their experience.

“With this new interline agreement, we continue to strengthen regional connectivity by expanding travel options from South America to the world through one of the main global hubs in Istanbul, where Turkish Airlines operates flights to various connection points shared with SKY, including Santiago de Chile.

“This alliance increases travel options and brings more international passengers closer to the destinations we serve in Chile, Peru and throughout the region,” said Julio Solar, Routes and Alliances Manager at SKY.

Passengers traveling from Europe, the Middle East, or Africa with Turkish Airlines to Santiago, Chile, will be able to connect to SKY's entire domestic network in Chile. The agreement will also offer robust connectivity options to Peru, particularly via the São Paulo-Lima and Buenos Aires-Lima routes, with the possibility of continuing on to other destinations within the country such as Cusco and Arequipa, among others.

In turn, passengers who purchase tickets with Turkish Airlines from Peru or Chile will be able to travel to Istanbul and connect with its extensive network of destinations on six continents.

This alliance adds to the interline agreements that SKY Airline has previously established with other international airlines, reinforcing its position as a key player in regional air connectivity and consolidating its presence in the Latin American market.
