The Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) celebrated the seventh edition of the Standing Ovation Awards, an internal program that recognizes the performance and dedication of its employees, within the framework of its annual team building meeting.
The event, held on March 27th under the motto “Break Through”, aimed to strengthen trust, communication and teamwork among employees, fundamental pillars for consolidating a solid and collaborative organizational culture.
Implemented in 2019, the Standing Ovation program focuses on highlighting the effort, cooperation, and commitment of the ATA team through a peer-to-peer recognition system. Using the "High Fives" method, employees evaluate their colleagues' actions based on four key principles: compassion, heart, curiosity, and courage.
This approach allows all employees to have the opportunity to be recognized directly by their peers, regardless of their role or location within the organization, thus promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
Since 2024, the program has expanded to include international offices, facilitating the exchange of awards between headquarters and various markets. International winners are also invited to participate in the annual event, where they can share experiences and strengthen ties with teams from other regions. As part of the recognition, they also gain the opportunity to work remotely from other ATA offices, fostering greater global integration.
In this edition, ATA CEO Ronella Croes congratulated the winners, while the Human Resources department presented the awards.
Internationally, the awards went to Tiahna Croes (European office), Dalila Santiago (North America) and Johana Santiago Infante (Latin America).
Overall, the program achieved a record 682 “High Fives” registered during 2025. At headquarters, the three most outstanding employees were Susana Dangel, who obtained third place as Junior Product Specialist; Erika Hincapié Patiño, in second place as Branding & Niche Specialist; and Josette Croes, who was crowned as the absolute winner serving as Marketing Executive.
The organization highlighted the ongoing commitment of the entire team and celebrated the program's positive impact on the internal culture, solidifying it as a key tool for recognizing talent and strengthening collaboration within ATA.
