Copa Airlines, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings, S.A. and one of the leading airlines in Latin America, announces changes to its commercial team in Colombia as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the country and continue consolidating its positioning in the region.
In this context, Mariluz González assumes the role of Sales Leader in Bogotá. She brings 23 years of experience in the aviation sector, a trajectory that has allowed her to develop a strategic vision of the business and a deep understanding of the competitive environment.
She holds a degree in Business Administration from Politécnico Gran Colombiano, with a specialization in Commercial Intelligence and Marketing, and is currently completing an MBA, both at Universidad EAN. She stands out for her people-oriented approach and her ability to build strong relationships based on empathy, assertive communication, and respect.
Meanwhile, Patricia Espinosa assumes the position of Sales Leader in Colombia, with responsibility for the cities of Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, Santa Marta, Cartagena, San Andrés, Bucaramanga, Cúcuta, and Pereira. She has 27 years of experience in the commercial and tourism sectors, focused on the design and implementation of commercial strategies, negotiation of high-value agreements, and leadership of interdisciplinary teams. She holds a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Strategic Marketing Management, both from Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga.
These appointments are part of the structure led by Diego Bermúdez, who serves as Director of Sales at Copa Airlines and will continue leading the company’s commercial strategy from Panama, in coordination with Paola Castaño, Regional Sales Manager for the Andean countries, who oversees the direction, guidance, and strengthening of commercial teams in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela.
With these changes, Copa Airlines reaffirms its commitment to the development of the Colombian market, relying on a team with extensive experience and strategic capabilities to continue promoting air connectivity and the growth of tourism and business in the region.
