Copa Airlines resumed its operations in Valencia, making significant progress in the recovery of its destination network in Venezuela. With this addition, the airline now operates in three cities in the country, alongside Caracas and Maracaibo, and is just two destinations away from fully restoring its historical presence in the Venezuelan market.
The reactivation of this route will allow passengers from the central region of the country to conveniently and efficiently access more than 85 destinations in 32 countries across North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America. This includes more than 15 cities in the United States, 5 in Mexico, and over 20 Caribbean destinations, all without having to go through immigration or customs procedures during connections and with baggage checked through to the final destination.
“Resuming our operations in Valencia marks a key milestone in our ongoing commitment to Venezuela. This city holds a strategic position within our network in the country, and its return allows us to continue expanding connectivity options for Venezuelans across the Americas,” said Roberto Pulido, General Manager of Copa Airlines in Venezuela. “With this expansion, we take another step toward the full recovery of the operation we had planned for 2024.”
The five weekly flights to and from Arturo Michelena International Airport will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Starting May 1, they will increase to six weekly frequencies, and by June, the route will operate daily. Thanks to these operations, passengers will have access to the Hub of the Americas® in Panama, where they can easily connect to destinations across the continent through more than 375 daily flights.
In addition to its recognized on-time performance in the region, Copa Airlines offers a world-class service that includes snacks and carry-on baggage in all fares, regardless of route or travel duration.
Copa Airlines continues to expand international connectivity options for Venezuela, where it has accumulated 29 years of presence. Its operations contribute to strengthening the commercial, tourism, and family ties that connect the country with the rest of the continent.
