The Palm Beaches tourist destination reached a historic milestone in 2025 by receiving more than 10.7 million visitors, surpassing the 10 million mark for the first time and registering an 8% growth compared to the 9.9 million in 2024.

The announcement was made by Discover The Palm Beaches (DTPB), the entity in charge of promoting tourism in Palm Beach County, which highlighted the record performance in both visitor volume and economic impact.

Growth was driven by diversified demand encompassing leisure tourism, meetings, sporting events, and international travel. Key factors included strategic investments in new source markets within the United States, strengthening the attraction of groups and conventions during off-peak periods, and developing high-impact events that benefit both residents and visitors.

In economic terms, tourism spending reached a preliminary estimate of $7.7 billion, compared to $7.2 billion the previous year. Likewise, the total economic impact rose to $11.7 billion, compared to $10.5 billion in 2024.

“Achieving this record reflects the strength of the destination and the effectiveness of our tourism promotion model,” said Milton Segarra, who emphasized that this growth is the result of years of sustained investment, strategic alliances, and an authentic offering that connects with travelers.

Tourism also plays a key role in the quality of life for Palm Beach County residents. Taxes generated by tourism, known as "bed taxes," fund initiatives related to beach restoration, cultural programs, sports tourism, audiovisual production, and the development of new infrastructure.

Furthermore, the impact of tourism extends to state taxation. In Florida, the contributions of visitors allow residents to avoid paying state income tax, generating an estimated savings of nearly $2,000 per household.

This performance is also reflected in the agencies associated with the Palm Beach County Tourist Development Council (TDC). The County Cultural Council reported over 3 million attendees at cultural activities in 2025, with an annual economic impact exceeding $335.3 million. Meanwhile, the Film and Television Commission recorded revenues exceeding $260 million in local productions, while the Sports Commission projected 1.6 million attendees at 227 events, generating $496 million in direct spending and over 462,000 hotel room nights.

“Exceeding 10 million visitors confirms that tourism is a fundamental driver for the county’s long-term economic vitality,” said Emanuel J. Perry, who highlighted the connection between culture, sports, the audiovisual industry, and hospitality as pillars of sustained growth.

With these results, The Palm Beaches reinforces its position as one of the leading destinations in the United States, promoting a tourism model that combines economic growth, community development and international projection.
