In the department of Paysandú, the minister participated in the traditional Paysandú Beer Week, one of the most popular events in the country, which combines artistic performances, culinary offerings, and a large fair. He also attended the arrival of the Tour of Uruguay cycling race, an event that generates significant tourism and reinforces the department's position as a key destination during this week.
Meanwhile, in the department of Colonia, and within the framework of the Uruguay a Toda Costa program, the minister, along with the national director of tourism, Cristian Pos, participated in activities held in the region, including a tribute to the musician José Carbajal through the screening of a documentary. The initiative highlighted the national cultural and artistic heritage, strengthening local identity through cultural tourism.
Finally, on Friday of Tourism Week, the Minister and the National Director of Tourism, Cristian Pos, visited Juan Lacaze, where they participated in a day of recreational and cultural activities for the whole family. During the visit, he emphasized the importance of promoting domestic tourism and supporting local initiatives that boost the economy and strengthen regional development.
In this way, Uruguay reaffirms its commitment to the development of tourism at the national level, promoting diverse proposals that integrate culture, sport and territory, and positioning Tourism Week as a strategic opportunity for the growth of the sector.
