The Best Western Hotels & Resorts chain announced the launch of “Viajar es Gol” (Travel is a Goal), an integrated platform with artificial intelligence developed in conjunction with Tripadvisor, aimed at optimizing travel planning during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The tool was designed to facilitate itinerary planning for an event that, for the first time, will be held in three countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Through the platform, users can personalize their experience by selecting teams, dates, host cities, stadiums, and trip type, tailoring the itinerary to different profiles, from family-friendly options to those focused on nightlife.
Based on these preferences, the system generates personalized itineraries that include travel suggestions, match schedules, and accommodation options in different destinations. The solution combines practicality and personalization with the backing of a hotel network with nearly 80 years of experience, particularly well-established in the North American market.
The platform integrates over 200 lodging options within the BWH Hotels portfolio—which includes WorldHotels™, Best Western® Hotels & Resorts, and SureStay® Hotels—located within a 40-kilometer radius of the stadiums where the matches will be played. It also incorporates TripAdvisor ratings and data to offer recommendations for restaurants, attractions, and activities tailored to each type of traveler.
The company emphasized that the goal is to simplify the planning of complex trips, especially in a context of multiple cities and high demand. In this regard, artificial intelligence allows for the centralization of information, improved decision-making, and an optimized user experience.
The platform is now available globally in three languages —Portuguese, English and Spanish—, reinforcing the position of both companies in the development of technological solutions applied to tourism and in the growth of the travel segment associated with major sporting events.
