Avianca reaffirms its historic commitment to Valledupar through 60 flights during the Vallenato Festival

The airline is the only one that operates in the city permanently throughout the year, establishing itself as an engine of economic and social development for the region

During its visit to Valledupar, the capital of the Cesar department, Avianca reaffirmed its role as a strategic partner of the region, where it has maintained an uninterrupted presence for over 80 years. The airline operates year-round, 52 weeks a year, solidifying its position as an engine of economic and social development, connecting the city to its network of more than 80 destinations in 25 countries.

With a history that began in 1941, Avianca has strengthened its presence in the city, reaching historic milestones such as the more than 450,000 passengers transported in 2024. During 2025, this figure remained steady, with over 425,000 passengers carried, maintaining a trend that continues this year with more than 78,000 passengers transported between January and February.

Currently, the company's offering includes 28 weekly frequencies on the direct Bogotá–Valledupar route, representing 56 weekly flights for the benefit of regional connectivity.

Special operation for the Vallenato Legend Festival

As part of its commitment to the country's cultural traditions, Avianca announced enhanced operations for the Vallenato Festival season, from April 27 to May 3. The strategy for this year's festival includes:

More than 10,500 seats available on 60 flights.

Four additional flights scheduled for April 29 and May 3, dates with the highest passenger traffic.
