IMM Brasil 2026, organized by TravMedia, took place on April 13 at the InterContinental São Paulo. According to Daniella Navega, Director of Sales & Marketing at the hotel, hosting the event reinforces the importance of connecting the property with the media landscape and increasing its visibility.
She noted that the initiative brought a new dynamic to the hotel, traditionally focused on corporate and leisure segments, highlighting the value of relationships with journalists and influencers as a strategic communication tool.
The hotel stands out for its strong positioning in corporate tourism, supported by robust event infrastructure. It features nine meeting rooms with flexible configurations, accommodating everything from small meetings of up to 10 people to large-scale events with capacity for around 450 attendees.
The versatility of the spaces allows for congresses—particularly in the medical sector—as well as events across industries such as government, food and beverage, and corporate sectors. Rooms can be adapted for auditorium setups, roundtables, hybrid formats and exhibition areas, while the foyer plays a key role for coffee breaks, lunches and activations.
With a well-established global brand, InterContinental focuses on tradition and service excellence as its main strengths. Personalized service and attention to detail are key factors in guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Currently, between 60% and 65% of guests are international, reinforcing the hotel’s global profile. Corporate travelers account for approximately 90% of occupancy, while leisure guests tend to visit mainly on weekends or as part of organized groups.
Gastronomy is becoming increasingly important within the hotel. While much of the consumption is still tied to events and guests, there is a growing effort to attract local residents and position the restaurants as relevant players in São Paulo’s dining scene.
Under the leadership of Executive Chef Reinaldo Figueiredo, the culinary concept blends contemporary cuisine with Brazilian influences and Asian touches. Breakfast is a highlight, featuring dedicated stations tailored to different guest profiles, including options for Asian travelers. The hotel also participates in citywide initiatives such as Breakfast Weekend to attract new audiences.
By combining infrastructure, tradition and innovation, InterContinental São Paulo strengthens its position as one of the city’s leading hotels for business and events, while expanding its role in media relations and experiential offerings beyond accommodation.
