IMM Brasil 2026, organized by TravMedia, took place on April 13 at the InterContinental São Paulo. Representing Experience Kissimmee, Juliana Leveroni highlighted the key differentiators of Kissimmee as a tourism destination.

Located just 25 minutes from Orlando International Airport and around 10 minutes from Walt Disney World, the city positions itself as the vacation home capital of the world, with more than 30,000 properties available in fully equipped communities featuring pools, restaurants and leisure areas.

Unlike Orlando, where short-term rentals face restrictions, Kissimmee was designed to accommodate this model, offering greater freedom and comfort, especially for families and groups.

Another highlight is its multicultural gastronomy. With a strong Latin community —representing around 80% of the population— the destination offers authentic restaurants from more than 20 countries, including Brazilian, Argentine, Cuban, Portuguese and Mexican cuisines. The city has also developed a culinary trail in partnership with Atlas Obscura, focused on unique cultural experiences.

Beyond its proximity to theme parks, Kissimmee preserves a strong ecotourism identity. Located in the region where Disney first developed and near the Everglades National Park, the destination offers activities such as kayaking, airboat rides, fishing, hiking and zip-lining.

With eight years leading destination promotion and previous experience at Disney, Leveroni noted the evolution of the Brazilian traveler profile. Brazil remains one of the main source markets, with repeat visitors increasingly exploring beyond the parks. There is also a growing trend of multigenerational travel, bringing together grandparents, parents and children—an ideal fit for vacation homes.

The destination also adapts well to different traveler profiles. While markets such as Brazil, Colombia and the United Kingdom prioritize family travel, countries like Mexico and Argentina show stronger demand from groups of friends.

Connectivity is another advantage, highlighted by the Brightline train, which links Orlando to destinations such as Miami, making travel within Florida easier. In addition, the ease of driving in the region supports combined itineraries.

The destination continues to grow with new developments planned, including large-scale resorts, luxury hotels, premium shopping centers and convention facilities.

With its strategic location, wide range of experiences and continuous expansion, Kissimmee strengthens its position as one of Florida’s most complete destinations, gaining increasing attention from Brazilian travelers.
