IMM Brasil 2026, organized by TravMedia, took place on April 13 at the InterContinental São Paulo.

Representing United Parks & Resorts, Larissa Alvarez showcased the latest developments and strategies across the group’s parks, including SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Aquatica Orlando, Discovery Cove and Adventure Island.

She noted that the current focus is on expanding family-friendly experiences while maintaining technological innovation and educational value.

At SeaWorld, one of the main highlights is a recently launched flying simulator that takes guests on a journey through the Arctic using real drone-captured footage. Visitors can experience landscapes, wildlife —such as polar bears and orcas— and natural phenomena like the Northern Lights. A new simulator inspired by the depths of the ocean is also set to open, offering a virtual underwater journey featuring marine species.

According to Alvarez, these types of attractions go beyond entertainment by bringing remote environments closer to visitors and encouraging environmental awareness, especially among younger audiences.

At Busch Gardens, new additions also reinforce the family positioning. Among them is the Phoenix Rising roller coaster, designed as an entry-level experience for first-time riders. The park has also introduced the Wild Oasis area, aimed at children and families, featuring interactive activities, adventure spaces and a tropical forest theme.

A new lion and hyena observation area is also planned, designed to replicate natural habitats and supported by expert guides who will provide insights into animal behavior and conservation.

Meanwhile, Aquatica continues to invest in infrastructure improvements, including expanded dining areas, better ventilation and improved access points. Recent additions include an attraction with projections and soundtrack simulating an underwater experience. The park is also preparing the Aloha to Summer event, included with admission, featuring themed activities and guest interactions.

Discovery Cove maintains its unique positioning focused on relaxation and animal interaction in an exclusive setting. With an all-inclusive format, it offers experiences such as swimming with dolphins and encounters with various species.

With a diverse portfolio combining thrill, entertainment and environmental education, United Parks & Resorts continues to expand the traditional concept of theme parks, creating memorable experiences for visitors of all ages.
